Here is my own icon collection for QM3 from back in the day. The icons are 32x32 and 16 colors, but they must match the QuickMenu III default 16-color palette to look right (which is different than the standard Windows 16-color palette). It may be a lot of work, but the menu looks really cool and I think it would be worth the time and effort to get the icons to look right (as laxdragon has done). The windows icons laxdragon mentions most likely contain more than 16 colors and that is why they are not perfect, but they look great cleaned up in the above photos.Īnyway, I remember that there were many shareware and freeware icon editors available for DOS and windows back in the day, and I believe that you can use NeoPaint or even PhotoShop (if you have those programs) to play around with different icon sizes and colours.
